I think that as long as she releases music as a solo artist (despite everything that you've mentioned) as she has been doing (although not as frequently as some would like), then she is on the right track, and going back to the Dolls (if that were ever an option) would be regressing.

actually this would only be a regression if she would be a global superstar with international succeses, for now she is sadly an ex-popgroup member who struggles to get her act tgether and has all the potential.
I get your point though.
The only reason I personally want a PCD reunion is to close the book for good. People from the general public still anticipate PCD. I would like a full force reunion with one last albu, Greatest Hits and one last goodbye tour. But I also would be satisfied with a Spice Girls or Girls Aloud kind of reunion and that would be just a Greatest Hits, one to a few new singles and maybe a possible small tour, t close the book for good. That wouldn't be regression for Nicole at all, it also wasn't regression for Beyoncé to do Destiny;s fullfilled and #1's and then close the book for major releases.
I don't want a reunion at this point though, but in 3 to 5 years would be reasonable and Nicole would have enough time to still try to stabalise, since if she is still t this point of her 40s, I don't see any benefit anymore tbh.
