I always get pressed when the "It's raining, raining. Oh, baby, it's raining" part in Umbrella starts and the song fades out.
I want mooooore!

Omg, same! But we got a fabulous "part 2" to Umbrella, so it's all good.
Btw, I'm talking about DYT as P2. The production and the message are similar.

Well.....
To be honest it was all a hot- Arabian dessert mess for the most part.
I can see why alot of the Navy got upset, Rihanna collaborating with her former abuser on Birthday Cake of all songs however we were all forgetting that Rihanna has been really vulnerable lately. Being sick and on 24 hr health watch while on tour, having to rush out the album due to the contract, and of course Chris Brown. Deep down i think that she still loves Chris and probably wants to be with him but she knows she could never do that , her career would fall down hill in a Milli-second so i think she done the collaborations as a way of being close to Chris without actually being close in that sense. She also needed closure, she never go it when you think about it with all the public attention surrounding the domestic abuse. She has also said in countless interviews that she has forgiven Chris Brown and doesnt want his or her career affected by it anymore and to just move on so i was pretty surprised to see the Navy react as if it was a all of a sudden change of heart. And to then say that Rated R is fake and that she is a hypocrite for what she said in the 20/20 interviews, the most vulnerable and sad part of her life its no wonder that shes feelin so insecure with the Navy right now and picking fights with random girls on twitter and not interacting with her fans as much. She feels misjudged in a really bad period of her life and i feel sorry for her, just because her emotions towards him have changed now doesnt mean that they weren't genuine before. I believe that Rihanna will never go back with Chris Brown officially because she knows of the repercussions however i'd prefer her to get some backlash and be happy then to get no closure and forever be hurting inside.
In terms of the collabs musically they are BOMB AS ****
They're voices are perfect for each other, which makes so much more sad
Sorry for stealing J.K.Rowlings wig ya'll

You better keep it cute or I'll pull a KD.

Welcome back, Slayanna.
A little bird told me that you're into a Bajan band called Cover Drive. I only discovered them like yesterday and I really like them! I know this is OT but I don't care.

DYT and Umbrella actually do have similarities , the composition, some of the production, the way the lyrics are structured. But considering the fact that The Dream produced both im not too surprised

Those were wise words! Tho it took enormous amount of energy for me to read it, so I don't feel like answering in detail. I'm just tired.

They may have similarities but by saying that DYT is Part 2 of Umbrella you imply that DYT is as good as the original which is well... an overstatement.

I'm fine with her seeking closure. But please, Birthday Cake is no kind of closure - "I wanna **** you right now, Been a long time, I’ve been missing your body". I mean

Well like said, it wasn't the best choice but considering the fact that she was lookin for an artists to be on BC and and she wanted the closure, she just put two and two together without actually thinking about the immediate response of her fans

DYT isn't as good as Umbrella, but it's close. Hence the Part 2 (which are almost never better than the original).
