Watched The Green Inferno & Goodnight Mommy and went to horror nights this past weekend
The Green Inferno slayed literally
Goodnight Mommy was cute. They could've added a bit more terror sequences.

Just watched Dead End(2003): I enjoyed it a lot, it was tense and funny but I don't know if y'all would like it because its old school, restrained and very low budget.

Thoughts on the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre? I'm going to watch it this week and apparently it's held up pre well and is still really creepy
Idk what's the consensus in this thread but does anyone else think low-key Scream 4 was the best in the series? Emma Robert's character never fails to slay me

Original TCM is good for the villains/atmosphere/suspense/etc. Protagonists all suck, though.
Disagreed on Scream 4. It does have some good aspects (Sidney, Kirby, Jill even if Emma's performance was atrociously awful, etc.), but it also has some truly terrible ones (Olivia, Charlie, Trevor, Hoss/Perkins) The cinematography is also hideous and it can't decide if it wants to be a Scary Movie wanna-be or a serious slasher film.
My Ranking: 1 (10/10) > 2 (8/10) > 4 (5/10) > 3 (3/10)

That's true For me tho 4>1>2>>>>3
Just started watching the show and am shocked at how it actually isn't terrible I actually like the new mask and none of the characters are draining to watch (yet….).

Oh... Franklin (wheelchair guy) definitely gets there. The others aren't draining just.... there is literally nothing to them at all. Still, TCM is good. I also liked the remake/prequel. 3 was okay. 2 was kinda weak but I liked the final girl. 4 is amusingly awful
3D is devoid of any redeeming qualities

I'm only up to EP05 so idt he has appeared yet
I've only seen the 2003 remake but I thought that was "ok", nothing special tbh so i'm hoping the original redeems the franchise in my eyes. I usually hate horror comedy so 2 could go either way for me
Watched all the Halloween, ANOES and F13 films tho. Halloween was by far my fave and the most consistent (the Rob Zombie sequel which was one of the worst films i've ever seen was the only really terrible sequel) and the original is legit one of my fave films ever. The atmosphere created and cinematography ANOES I enjoyed once I accepted it became more a comedy series and F13 was good for the first 4 films but there were just way too many awful sequels after that, it ended up becoming draining to sit through them all Jason takes Manhattan tho was one of my faves

Oh wait, I thought you were talking TCSM. NM. For the show, I ended up hating/disliking Piper, Emma, Maggie, and Jake. Big time. My fav was Noah, then Brooke, Audrey, WIll, and Riley. And that's it
I actully liked the RZ sequel. On the OTHER hand, I thought Halloween 5 was an atrocity, ditto for RZ's first remake, and 6/Res aren't hot stuff either. I really only like 1/2/4/SORTA H20/RZH2. So.. half the series
Not you snubbing Friday 6 when it's way better than 1
ANOES > Friday > Halloween for me series-wise

Yes! It was tragic when Riley died
The problem I had with the the RZ sequel was that it changed too much of the foundation that is Halloween. I know he would have wanted to put his own interpretation into it but it completely butchered characters like Loomis and Laurie who we should have affection or at least a liking of and idt seeing Michael's backstory (or him grunting) was a good move, it made him less "scary" imo.
Oh yeah part 6 was alright…..just got placed between two awful sequels

I was so sad to see her go. Her and Noah were so cute together. Who are your favs?
That's why I liked it, actually. Well, LAURIE is why I liked it (though she deserved a better actress than Scout) Not too many slasher movies portray the heroine being a traumatized wreck from what she went through and I thought that was interesting. Agreed on butchering Loomis though, they also ripped off Gale's arc from Scream 2 while writing him (but Scream 2 is apparenlty one of the worst movies ever) It's not a masterpiece, and there's a lot that doesn't work, but I thought a lot worked too.
The Michael's backstory stuff (which was indeed horrendous) was from the first remake.
Disagreed on allright, I'd put it as the third best behind 2/4. And it has one of the only two final girls in all Friday worth liking, the other being Part 2's (and a good lead guy too). 5 is terrible, but I find it hilariously terrible. 7 is defo bland. Thought JTM is fun, JGTH changes things WAY too much, but on its own its decent and I liked the main guy. Thought X was fun. FvJ is kinda weak, but it has moments. Remake is weak.

Also I saw Some Kind of Hate the other day and OMG the survivor totally ruined it.
She
was SO UNLIKABLE. Until then I was okay with the movie
3 movies into the OC so far and all FTVs. Slow start but I can totally catch up

So far Noah, Riley, Brooke, sometimes Audrey, Emma and Will (just because he's hot ).
Who says Scream 2 is one of the worst movies ever The only Scream film close to being that bad is Scream 3 and even that has it's moments of redemption. That's true what you said about Laurie, a good concept but poorly executed sums up RZ and Halloween unfortunately in the end imo
The first four F13 movies were good (especially the first 3), 5 awful, 6 was fun, 7 beyond awful, JTM was silly but I really enjoyed how they took it out of Camp Crystal Lake (I especially liked the first half on the boat tbh ), JGTH the absolute worst sequel and the only redeeming quality was Freddy at the end, Jason X was campy fun, FvJ is one of my faves tbh even tho they could have done a lot more with it and the remake wasn't too bad imo (I enjoyed it more than the ANOES and Halloween one).

Texas Chainsaw 3D was horrible to those talking above.
They go
The Beginning >>> Original >>> 2003 Remake >>> 3D >>>> 2/3 are both not even watchable
As for Scream I never really took it serious I don't count them as horror movies they are more of a comedy, but I do agree the first two are the best two. 3 and 4 are watchable but they are more focused on comedy.

This is one of my favorite horror movies I can't believe you didn't like it!
It was a bit predictable but you begin to love the characters and it's a really fun movie.
