At this moment, not. "MP" peaked #101, "Do Somethin" #100. Next week, though, they can JFJ.

It's not a fair comparison because MP and DS came out before the Hot 100 changed it's rules to include digital downloads, hence why the peaks were so low. I remember when "I've Just Begun (Having My Fun)" came out it shot immediately to the top of iTunes top downloads but that song never appeared on the Hot 100 because that was before digital downloads counted.
Anyways, I think it's pretty much a given that "Womanizer" will peak higher than "KGB" when all is said and done. What I am more interested in though is seeing which one will have better longterm success/sales.

Yes, next week it definitely will. Without a doubt. She's still been top 5 on iTunes and has a good steady climb on Airplay.

Same here. It's hard to say. Will "Womanizer" end up like "Gimme More", or will "Keeps Gettin' Better" end up like "Candyman"? It's really hard to tell.

Exactly, its actually sad that Britney could've had a hit with MP and with IJB (HMF) if downloads had been counted.

My Prerogative was #1 on Hot Digital Songs. Keeps Gettin' Better will never accomplish that.

Comparing is fun, but some people get WAY too into it. (Hint hint to some of you.......)
Britney and Christina are both extremely popular and successful female pop vocalists.

Well Christina's shot a #1 i think are over, britney still has a shot.
Although who knows even if they dont get #1's first week digital debuts there are always the videos and performances that could boost them straight to #1..

i am just happy, christina's gonna have her highest peaking single since 'beautiful' hit no.02 in 2003.
her last top 10 hit is 'ain't no other man' in 2006 peaking at no.06.
'keeps gettin' better' will most likely be debut top 3 in the BB Hot 100.
i am also happy for britney's womanizer, when it comes out on itunes, i am sure it has clear chances of being #1, either way i am happy for both britney and christina, they are better than those rappers who keep dominating the charts, it's about time two of the best from the 00's show everyone else how it is done.
