has SM had a bad or totally corny title track this year?
amber's stuff is basically it, right? everything else seems really really current. well researched. they've obv been on tumblr for a year or two at this point, but i actually really like the results.
I agree Suho looked/did the best in both MVs. Black hair is his true calling and I see that clearly now. I just started liking him a few months ago. Always thought he was okay but I hate the feeling of 2nd hand embarrassment and he does that to me a lot I've got a handle on his personality so now it's become endearing and funny
the chord progression and vocal melody of Monster is like...instant classic status for me. It's got that weird balance of catchy and emotional that makes certain pop songs feel a bit more personal than they even really are. Compliments the production well and builds upon the expectation for songs of that style they built w/overdose, then exceeds it.
SM is doing a really great job with them in some ways. The member shedding thing will forever be a stain on their potential for me, but it's impressive that they've managed to still make really great pop music and performances in spite of it.
