Now I won't lie, SOS is my **** to this day, but Pon De Replay is her most generic song; even Rihanna admits that and refuses to perform it. I don't know what LM is supposed to be Thats how amazing those albums are.
And Donga I will hop on a kangaroo and come to your house, and make you listen to WHYB on repeat.
Such blasphemy

IDK.. i just realized how much of a great album GGGB is.

I can maybe get down with that ranking. As long as everyone can agree that GGGB, TTT and RR are the trinity of Rihanna albums. They are the only albums that only have 1 song that ruins the CD for me. Loud has a few, and both MOTS and AGLM are half-filled with duds.

I used to LOVE Rated R soo much and thought it was her masterpiece. It still is frankly. Its the best work she's ever done. But.. will I honestly say its an album I will listen to on end. No. Because Im not in that type of deep mood all the time. Some works of art are just meant to be amazed and lauded with praise but the reality is, it cannot give you what you want, every time you want it.
Does that make sense? Or does my choices still seem a bit bleak?

Yeah, I agree with Grim. She doesn't really seem to care about anything this era except doing things her way. It's understandable considering how calculated the past few years of her career have been, but it's also unfortunate considering that the album could have been even more successful than Loud. It's got a ton of bangers.
I'd personally like to see BC ignored with TTT given a video and promotion, followed by WHYB in June, maybe with WNL sent to urban at the same time. Then a new album in the fall, or a re-release. Or Drunk on Love as the ballad single. That would work, too.
I have a feeling that they'll scrap TTT, release BC, then WHYB, before ending the era with a TTT re-release, though.

I think its about Rihanna and possibly her lover dying or contemplating dying, and wanting to leave behind a Legacy=Song that everyone will remember them for. And then being in Heaven with their friends again.
Honestly I don't know though

Rated R and Talk That Talk go back and forth with me. But after critical thinking and analyzing.. Good Girl Gone Bad reigns supreme. It has its deep moments (Question Existing, Rehab), it has its compelling emotional moments (Cry, Take A Bow), it has its fun, upbeat charismatic personas (Sell me Candy, Disturbia, Breakin Dishes, Don't Stop the Music) its low points (lemme get that, shut up and drive) but above all.. it has Godbrella.

The only songs I still listen to from her first two mixtapes are the singles, plus Let Me, Music of the Sun, and Rush on the first mixtape. I can listen to GGGB from start to finish save for Hate That I Love You, Say It, and Question Existing. I don't love Shut Up and Drive, either, but I can tolerate it most of the time. Rated R is perfect from start to finish, sans Stupid In Love and Rockstar 101, and I can listen to everything on Loud save for Cheers, though I don't usually have Fading, California King Bed, Raining Men, Complicated, or LTWYL Part II on repeat. I love all of those songs, but they're not extremely interesting to me anymore. TTT is listenable from start to finish as well, except for BC, WAWL, and occasionally YDO.

And Im not giving up on Talk That Talk. it will at least go top 5. All it needs is promotion. Once she starts promoting it then it will blow up.
Im sad that You Da One was wasted. That song >>>>>>
I hated it when it just premiered but fell in love with it after.

This is how I want this Era to go, considering that BC ISN'T an actual single right now.
1. We Found Love
2. You Da One
3. Talk That Talk
4. Where Have You Been
5. Roc Me Out/Drunk On Love
6. Do Ya Thang
This is how it will go though
1. We Found Love
2. You Da One
3. Birthday Cake ft. Chris Brown
4. Talk That Talk
5. Where Have You Been
6. Fool In Love

They really just should scrap TTT at this point. We have no pictures from any "video" she may or may not have shot so at this point just leave it and the pop fans won't even know about it. They'll think WHYB is the third pop single and obviously they'll love it. No harm no foul.

he hype for BC is too big to ignore. It would be mind-numbingly stupid to not release it.
Scrap TTT
Properly release Birthday Cake
Where Have You Been for pop
Do Ya Thang for urban
Watch n' Learn as the final single before re-release.
I love DoL but she cannot release it this era. Not with the whole Chris Brown thing. That **** will come off worse than BC did.

Loud was a good mixture of genres that everyone loves, TTT is just too dirty/urban with a hint of dance.

Ewww.. Roc Me Out should stay on the album. If she's ever gonna do a single that risqué just go all out and give us Cockiness. I mean Urban radio used to play the hell out of it. IDK why they stopped. I guess each Jam told them to for Talk that Talk. Even WFL is getting urban spins now all of a sudden i keep hearing it on Hot 97.

It does make sense.
Well, I listen to RR everyday. I skip G4L tho. Never liked that song.
There's no way RR, TTT, and Loud could be out of my everyday playlist.

This!!!! I think that RMO will be a single at some point, though. Can you imagine the video for Fool In Love? It has the potential to be amazing.

You're calling PDR generic, while trying to convince me how amazing WHYB is? I don't know what the trend was back in '05, but right now everyone is doing dance music. Anyone could have sung WHYB, imo.

I think Loud is her most sophisticated mainstream Pop album. Thats why out of all of her eligible 5 it was the one that got the love. Although i think them snubbing her for Rated R helped Loud gets its accolades not to mention the improvement in sales and performance of that era.

TTT is really the only album I can listen to from start to finish. I always skip Complicated & The Last Song (and usually CCL too). I dislike WAWL, but I can deal with it.

Loud would have been my 2nd favorite album had it not had S&M, Cheers and Raining Men on its track list. Although I love Raining Men.. it does take away from it.

RMO is actually kinda tame lol It's basically Rude Boy 2.0 and that's not even that dirty, radio would love this.
