So Kelly confirmed in April her plans of releasing a Christmas album and her Sixth studio album in Early 2014. I'm wondering if the plans are still in work since she is pregnant. And by "Early 2014" Kelly meant Q1 of 2014, then we should be expecting a single in a few weeks after Christmas, no? I'm thinking that the plans for the Album might still be in works since Kelly planned to have a baby. She didn't get pregnant by accident.

December 4th on Ellen, Kelly confirmed she was 11 weeks pregnant. The recent confirmation of a album next year was on October 10th which is the week when Kelly was two weeks pregnant. She also stated in the interview "Me and my manager where having a dinner last night and are trying to figure out a gameplan because there is a lot going on". For me it sounds not only like a, when are we going to release the album but also how are we going to manage it with your pregnancy kind of talk.

I really believe we are getting a single soon.

We are not getting a single soon. The album will be delayed until Q4 at the earliest. Kelly probably didn't even know she was pregnant after just two weeks.

I really hope they delay the album. Releasing an album this early could be dangerous in general, especially since she can't promote it. Pregnancy is hard on your voice in general. Kelly needs to rest her instrument, especially since her voice has never sounded as good as it has on this Christmas album.

Depends on whether she thinks she can do promo or not right after childbirth as the album is already finished, no?

She may not have known. But she was planning it. And a Q4 release wouldn't make sense. Because then the baby would be around two months. I can't imagine Kelly promoting around the world when she has a baby of only a few months at home. And I can't imagine Kelly bringer her all over the world so young.

The first and last trimester are only the miserable ones. Kelly could promote the era for at least three good months if she releases the single in January. She can then have her last trimester and the rest of the year off to take care of her baby.

Another reason why a Q4 doesn't seem logical is that RCA will probably push the Christmas album again.

She can promote it. Woman all around the world work until their 8th month of pregnancy. They get vacation days 4 weeks before and 4 weeks after their pregnancy. Kelly shouldn't be a exception.

Usually you work until days before your due date and back to work a month or two later.

Maybe Kelly should wait until 2015 to release anything.

The problem with that is pregnancy is naturally hard on your voice. In most jobs where women get maternity leaves, they don't use their voice in the way Kelly does. It's completely different. Even Beyoncé commented on how much harder it was for her to sing early into her pregnancy.

KCLA, you do realize that A LOT of pregnant woman continue working right? She has no tours, so a couple of promo spots can't hurt.

Yes I know but make promo around the world (US-UK-AUS) means a change of weather, schedule (for sleep) and hoping that Kelly doesn't have a risky pregnancy. I'm dying to hear new material seriously but should be good a little gap, she is done with both albums. On the other hand, like Shakira's album, after her prego, her record label reconstructed her album again because the music would be outdated when she finally released her album. So, for the pop album RCA has 2 options: Reconstruct her album or release the album delayed even with the outdated music. Let's see what's going on, I got a feeling that they don't have a decision yet.

Y'all do realize that it's been two years and two months since the release of Stronger right? And it's been almost 5 years since we had a power ballad like Already Gone and Cry. I need new POP material. Screw everything else.

As much as I want new music like y'all, I'd rather Kelly take a break and be with her baby for awhile until she releases an album. She deserves to stay home and care for ha daughter.
