Would you like to co-own a condo with me?

Only if it's somewhere downtown-ish Toronto, I'm tired or Scarborough.

You have to pay ugly condo fees to pay someone to do it for you. I looked at Condo's here in Calgary, and one of the fee's was "Snow Removal - $115/month"

That still sounds a lot better then me having to do it because my landlords are lazy and there's only one shovel.

I'm typically not much of a festival fan, but I will be in Montréal on basically those exact dates and I would kill to see Grimes, Radiohead, Logic, et cetera.

This was I was looking forward to this morning as well as Bluesfest (both sucks). I'll be there for Celine Dion on July 31st. I'm thinking of Disclosure and Lana Del Rey (but probably not) just hoping it lands on the Saturday.
Bluesfest lineup is out too, it was so good last year with Kanye.

They charge that no matter how much it snows tho. So far, Calgary hasn't seen a drop of snow since the end of January, but you still have to pay that fee in full. They also charge it year-round and not just in the winter too.

that Bluesfest one looks pretty good. in regards to Osheaga, I'm hoping that Radiohead is on the Friday or Saturday, because I will just buy one of the daily passes to see them. I'll be out of luck if they are on Sunday, as Céline is far more important.
I absolutely can't wait for Pemberton Music Fest to announce their lineup. last year's lineup was the best I've ever seen in terms of Canadian festivals.

Did you catch the Live Stream of Celine I'm going to die opening night. Have you guys picked out where you're staying? If I end up going for a weekend I think I'm gonna go all out and book the W. My friend I 'social networked' with when I went to Madonna booked there and it's sooo nice!!

I am watching it on repeat. it may become one of my all-time fave performances of hers.
lol @ 'social networking.' we will be staying at 'Hotel Omni Mont-Royal,' which is quite close to the venue and reasonably-priced. the W looks absolutely gorgeous. if I wasn't poor, that's where I would like to stay, lol.
I am so excited, as this will be my first time east of the province of Alberta.

WTF I just found out Mandarin and Popeyes finally opened in Ottawa.
My basic city finally getting paid attention to. They're apparently already building a second Mandarin in the west end.

Now my friends want to go as well which is great but I can almost lay money they'll want to just book an AirBnB or some cheap ass hotel. No thanks! I'll book my own room.
Do you guys have plans for stuff to see while you're there? The Espace Pour Le Vie area was really cool. There's the Biodpme, the Insectarium, Planetarium, Botanical Garden and Tower of Montreal. And I went to see the Muse De Beau Arts and Sistine Chapel: The Exhibit were nice too.

thanks for the recomendations! besides the Insectarium, they all look awesome, lol. a friend of mine has been to the Biodome and told me that it was a must-see.
my friend invited along a friend of hers who will be visiting Canada for the first time. we don't have much in terms of excursions planned, besides finding out where Céline is staying and trying to meet her, lol. I'm also big into used record stores, so I hope that I can find some good ones there.

Yeah Insectarium I didn't care for, but my hotel gave me free tickets to all 3 then I paid like $12 for the Tower of Montreal.
I know there's TONS of record shops around. Aux 33 Tour was by far my fave, it was nice and cleanly organized. Le Fin Du Vinyle, Sound Central and Cheap Thrills was good too as far as I remember. I'm going to spend a week in Montreal when I go to Rihanna so vinyl shops are on my list for sure, I'll see what else I find.

that is excellent news to hear that there are some good stores there. I was browsing Yelp and I came across a few of them that appeared to deal with mostly rock and metal and such, so I was worried that there wouldn't be much selection for a pop boy like me. all of the ones that you mentioned look awesome.
if you're ever in Calgary, you'll have to go to 'Recordland.' it's the biggest used record store in all of Canada.

Yeah the last two stages only take about 3-4 months versus the 15 it took to get to this point.
I love Recordland! But I haven't been in a while.
Speaking of Calgary, 2016 is the "Year of Music" here. Mostly cause of the Junos I think, and the opening of the new National Music Centre. But there's so many music related events happening this year (except for concerts, cause they still can't build a decent venue, and enjoy leaving us "saddescrewed" leaving big name artist to just go to Edmonton instead.)

I am going to the JUNOs actually. are you? the lineup of performers is pretty good so far (Bryan Adams, Shawn Mendes, The Weeknd, et cetera).
there's still some good concerts coming your way! I am seeing Rihanna there on April 21st, and I might buy tickets for Bieber. I know what you mean though, in regards to musical acts having to skip Calgary due to the shape of the Saddledome. you guys could always take Rexall Place off of Edmonton's hands, once our new Rogers Place is built.

I had the chance to volunteer at the Juno's, but I'll be very busy with school that week
I want to go to Rihanna, but the tickets were too expensive. I really want to see Beyonce, but cannot afford the travel expenses to Edmonton. They've been trying to build a new area for so long here. This CalgaryNext plan will probably eventually be built but not for like 10+ years, and it will likely be tied to the apparent 2026 Olympic bid and not the Flames.

Ffff; bye
Ontario would make college and university free for families making less than 50k as soon as my dad got a good job after being laid off for the past year and a half.
