She's actually gaining a LOT in Japan!
A few hours ago, her popbar was the same length as that of the number 3 song, so she'll probably snag the top spot in Japan

Well she has 7 or so hours; if shes able to do it in less than that then she will have #1 in all markets the first day

Ok. Gaga's lead is insane! OMFG....
Making calculations... If she is selling 6x the #2 song, and the #2 dong sells... I dont know... 200K...
Then it means Gaga is selling to be above a million in a whole week... (170K per day)
We all know that first day is the strongest... So lets say that she falls a bit to 5x the #2 song... (145K per day)
And then maybe 4x the #2 song (115K per day)
That means she could be around 430K in 3 days
Then she has the grammys... I think she can do ~600K in the whole week

What do you mean by objective?
i think pop bar is a good indicator of how much a song is selling as COMPARED to other songs, and it only signifies a certain duration of sales. So yeah i do agree with you that it does not work that way.
