The meaning of the contest is to show off the best of what each country has to offer, whether its a ballad or uptempo. Greece is alright, but hardly anything special.

Since the jury involvement in voting, the contest is dull. The crazy songs don't qualify and basically the whole thing is supposed to be a party. This is how i see it. Same old ballads with no substance, there's no quirkiness or something extraordinary.
France though looks interesting. I prefer this song than Denmark.

It was not supposed to be taken so seriously either IMO. All i'm saying is that the last couple of years the songs are not as good as they used to be, with the exception of Loreen. Besides, it's called Eurovision because the image and the presentation play the biggest role, it's a TV show of course.

Loreen's song is good because she did take the contest seriously. She brought a song that was marketable to Eurovision. "Joke acts" are not going to make the contest better. A few of them are good for novelty, but anything more than a few would be overkill.

The songs from the last year are so good... my favorites songs are from 2004, 2005, 2006 ... But anyway Eurovision is every year something special... i like everything...

The song was great and also, her presentation was amazing, something very new that's why she won. I don't necessarily mean joke acts cause they tend to be annoying, just not that many usual ballads, i almost fell asleep during the 1st semi final, it was disappointing for me.
