The fact that without Adele Justin could have had two consecutive #1 debuts
And Justin would be the first male artist wil this achievement.
Other two artists are Mariah with "Fantasy" and "One Sweet Day" and Britney with "3" and "Hold It Against Me".
On demand streaming was included back then, but not YouTube.
I should have specified that, lemme go fix it. But the thing is that YT was much bigger than Spotify back then (just look at what Gangnam Style did), and Spotify had a smaller influence on the charts. If YT had been included back in 2012 we'd see some more rhythmic.
I think the main differences with video streaming being counted in 2012 would've been Gangnam Style and maybe Rack City going #1, Mercy and The Motto both going top 10 (probably for quite a while), and Paris charting higher (I know it didn't have a video for ages but it would've been like Hotline Bling getting really high Youtube streams regardless of a video).
But I think The Fox happened when video streaming was already included? If it wasn't I don't think it would've made the top 10.
2012 was a strange year in the sense that dance-pop was visibly on decline by that point, but R&B/hip hop songs weren't able to crossover to pop still. As a result there a number of weeks with all-white/all-pop top 10s. It wasn't until Thrift Shop and Suit & Tie that things really started changing (although there were small hints of it before with Girl On Fire, One More Night, Whistle, Locked Out Of Heaven and Diamonds which are all quite rhythmic compared to most other pop radio hits that year).
I think it will debut in top 5. WD will probably #7 next week and it will surely be above both Stitches and WD
It needs like 15M+ streams to pass Stitches (if it does sell 100k) don't see how that it is "surely". And passing WDYM? for #5 would need another ~5 million.
But I have no idea how global her Youtube streaming is. So maybe.

Just checked how Focus was doing on Spotify. I thought it would be above stitches but it isn't and its actually way behind there. Now I don't see her debuting in top 5 may #9 or #10 is possible.
