Obesity treatment costs the Mexican government more than 5 billion dollars a year. Spending might double by 2020. That said, people should be fine by just doing some excise on a daily basis and eating healthy. Very few cases are related to genetic susceptibility, so there's no excuse.

The problem is the milk, lack of distinction between grains, lack of distinction between meats, and lack of distinction between between fats/oils. That's our nutrition education right there.

Sounds bad. Also I'm seeing Nuts in the same group as fish & meat...it boggles the mind.

I've always been a thin person. And I've been working out too, so I'll admit I'm a bit conceited in the whole fitness area. LOL. But honestly, nobody has anyone to blame for being fat but themselves. There are too many kids who sit around watching TV and playing Xbox all day and don't get any exercise at all.
But then again, going to the grocery store, there is just SO much processed garbage that it really isnt easy to try and eat right, but you just have to find the right things and your good.

^^
Kids who have parents who don't see to their nutritional needs do have others to blame. Until around the age of 15 it is a parents responsibility to give their child the right type and amount of food. It can lead to struggles with weight in later life if not handled correctly.

Can you put a price on Education?
Is there a price on education?
Is reform needed?
Private Schools, Public Schools?

I think that there is a price on education in some circumstances... Private school is very expensive and sometimes the education isn't even that worthwhile. Community College and State Universities can sometimes offer better education for a lower price.
In terms of worldwide education, there is never a price.

Public schools are not all equal as like all systems are not perfect but that depends where a family resides, it's similar to my stance on healthcare, you get what you pay for it, but change school for a child when necessary steps are required of an ailing school.
Private schools is expensive but that is a choice of the family, if it's too much for you then work things out or find suitable public schools for your child.

Agree. However some people pay for very a very expensive private school and get terrible education... the expenses are high and the education is low.

Education shouldn't be business. Every single one should have the same opportunities regardless their social class. The education problem is MUCH worse in the Third World, by the way.

I know but it is their choice, and they have an option to choose the school wisely for their child. If it's too much or too terrible, get out.

Sometimes you can't foresee all the problems that the school could have from the beginning. But, I can see your point.

There are many factors that can affect a child's education, influence of friends, location/neighborhood norms, everything is accountable. Everyone should have equal opportunities but sadly the world we live in is a gigantic business. Problem or problems cannot be solved overnight.
