Honestly, radio was bound to drop it soon anyways since 5H's next single is coming out soon and that would be competing with it. It did what it had to do for both Shawn and Camila though. Shawn got a second Top 10 on pop radio, so they'll support whatever he puts out next, and 5H got a good lead-in for their next single.

You are right. This song was doing very good on radio, iTunes, charts and now it's coming out new single of 5H and Camila can't promote this song with Shawn anymore and maybe Shawn is going to release next single too.

I'm happy this duet was successful and didn't flop like many fans, haters wanted them to.

An upcoming "Ellen" will feature a performance by Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello.

While not yet confirmed on the series’ official website, TV listings reveal plans to air a Shawn Mendes-Camila Cabello performance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

Per the listings, their “I Know What You Did Last Summer” performance is scheduled for the February 16 edition of the syndicated talk show.

Yeah, I understand what you're saying. I wasn't suggesting that IKWYDLS died now because radio was anticipating 5H's next single. I was saying that if 5H's single DID end up smashing on pop radio while IKWYDLS was still doing well, it likely would have likely sapped at least a bit of airplay away from IKWYDLS.

Yeah people keep reposting from Ellentube which stops before Ellen comes over to them. But in the full episode she comes over to them says "Fantastic!" and hugs Camila and Shawn then turns back to Camila and says "That was amazing!"
