If Gagz could be humbled to work with a mainstream producer Luke would probably be the last on her list out of spite from the Judas thing.

Katy and Gaga remind me of Cyndi and Madonna tbh.

Funny thing is also that Britney also didn't have any Grammy's before 2004 and Christina was beating her out in that department. Same with Katy and Gaga.

I agree. But people started to take Britney seriously with ITZ, while Katy releases songs like Roar.

Gags will definitely not die of old age, I can tell you that. That bitch will not allow it. When she said she'd die on stage, by God, I know she meant it.
I guess drowning in a tub is close enough.
A tub on stage would work.

Gaga does give off major Xtina vibes: great pop debut, then thinks she's an artist who's too good for that and goes off making "real" music but lacks the talent and vision to deliver...

Gaga is all kitsch. It'll be interesting to see how she'll react when the critics are finally over her meme ass!

Social media is the worst thing that could've ever happened to a pop star's mystique. Back then, someone like Britney or Xtina would only need an attention-grabbing performance on tv in order to make it on front page headlines for entire seasons. Now you need to follow that up with more promo, behind-the-scenes specials, tumblr-worthy videos that can be giffed, spilling t or dragging someone on twitter, etc.. Miley Kween of our Youth Culture

Well, not EVERYTHING is exactly the same, just some similar aspects that I've noticed.

We are the media now due to social media. We basically have a source of power over celebrities now.

Nobody ever really took Britney seriously. & believe it or not, Roar is a "mature" song to the GP

I swear all of Miley's Terry Richardson shoots are like custom made for Tumblr reblogs.

True. Critics have never dragged Britney and they seem to have a respect for Britney [unless we're talking about tours ]. But musically, they've always been here for her.
The GP, tho. As far as public image is concerned, Katy's > Britney's was EVER.

Social media is also the reason Bey's on the decline. You know she seethes inside, feeling obligated to post her family vacation photos on tumblr and instagram. She does a better job than Britney or Xtina though.

Gags is Whitney. Came out with a smash debut era, successful 2nd era, starting showing diminishing returns thereafter.
Rihanna is Janet. There, but everyone else would pick someone else over here as their #1 fave. Can make some bopping singles, though.
Katy is Madonna. Started off kind of average, improved upon her beginning with her 2nd era and established herself with a few hits, 3rd era looks to be her biggest yet.
Ke$ha is Cyndi. Had her Tik Tok (GJWHF) moment and was swept away a few years later.
Beyoncé is Paula. Had a few successful eras and 1 enduring hit single to be remembered by; career suddenly ended with no announcement, simply just never released anything else.

imagine if she does kill herself at a big award show like the VMAS, it will probably become the most iconic and talked about performance of all time, the song that she performed will go #1 everywhere. here for it tbh.

Lol I know, but they started to because of her performances - first starting with the 2000 VMAs. Then even more during the ITZ era.
