This song is "Diva"/"Telephone" mixed for vocals. She's not belting or really doing any runs.
Throughout the song there's this b-section that she does that slows down the song for a minute and she's harmonizing with herself. It's like in her lower register kinda. J, help me out a little bit. It's hard to explain.
She's chanting rap/singing more than giving you full out vocal performance for most of the song, though.
It will be satisfying.

The intro sounds like a darker version of how "Kids" by Sleigh Bells starts off. It has that dubstep sound.

The"Pon De Floor" sample is definitely a direct lift, but there's a lot of **** going on with the production. It may be one of her most sonically full songs. The intro itself sounds like a completely different song until the drums kick in about 45 seconds into the song. And by full, I mean it is not ABDCEFG or even close to being generic or simple. You won't grasp everything in the first few listens.
from bw board.
m thinking it's a female empowerment song. The way she delivers and flows is very strong and confident but slightly arrogant like in Diva. The "we run this mutha" and all the cussing definitely give me girl power teas. She's obviously referring to a group of people, so I'm guessing it's women.
The choreography for this is gonna be so damn interesting because it's not like one corny beat looped over and over. It's so much going on in the record, but in a good way. Not like a song that has so much going on that it gives you a headache.
She is really on some other ****. I can't wait to see the theme, video, outfits, etc.
1. What's the length of the song?
2. Do you think this will go #1 first week?
3. Is it her best first single?
4. Did it give you chills?
1. 4:40
2. It better!
3. Ask me in 6 months!
4. I cried forreal! LMAO.
