Ugh Oprhan is one of my all time favorites. Nothing new plot wise but the suspense and acting is superb. I've watched it so many times over the years.

The Green Inferno is definitely more of a Netflix watch. The beginning was super slow / bad. The acting was way off, especially Sky. I cringed every time she opened her mouth. Then yeah like I said last night, the gore is limited.

Anyway, watching We Are Still Here now after the reviews in here. :

Sky's acting was PUTRID. I also thought she looked really odd. I find her hot in her Red Lips video and everything else but she looked, idk, scary in the movie? My dad whispered to me "Her friend looks creepy looking." and I was like "ikr."

I actually really liked Sky's character minus "Activism is so gay!" which was just cringeworthy since no one talks like that now. Except Eli Roth. Her acting wasn't AMAZING or anything, but I didn't notice anything too off (unlike Ariana Grande in Scream Queens)

As for gore, I think the first kill makes up for the "limited" future gore (which still wasn't bad)

The gore really wasn't too limited. I mean, I wish we saw some bits of the skinning scene but as a gorehound I was satisfied. If it just focused on gore it would have felt overdone.

Agreed. I do think it needed a few more outrageous scenes just considering the genre tho.

I don't think it needed any outrageous scenes but I was surprised by the lack of them. I was also really surprised by the lack of a rape scene. When Justine came back painted white and told her friends she didn't know what happened to her I thought she was raped but I guess she wasn't.

I think that's probably a better way of phrasing it. I didn't really mind, but it was surprising and felt a bit odd considering cannibal movies are BUILT on being outrageous (and I DEINITELY did not mind not seeing a rape scene). And yeah, I was UTTERLY shocked that Kirby Bliss Blonton's character didn't get raped, since she had the whole "Pretty blonde sheltered goodie girl" thing going and Eli loves to violate that type. Badly (See Cabin Fever AND both Hostels)

Well I don't mean to say it should've just focused on gore. I guess I just expected worse than what was in the movie, considering the delays, MPAA and the teaser trailer shown before The Visit made it seem like the whole movie was going to be gross out.

The first meal () definitely made up. I felt a little sick watching it. I can't believe that even only got the movie an R-rating. The reveal of the skinning was perfect, I don't think it was necessary to show and the suicide likewise worked out.

But yeah, while I'm not trying to sound like a rape fanatic - I expected it with the overly emotional girl. Or at least the main girl, since the blonde ended up not being a virgin.

Idk now I'm not sure how I feel about it, lol. Maybe it was adequate enough.

As for Sky, @Repo the activism line was messy. But overall, she seemed so forced. I didn't expect her to have that much screen time and she didn't need it lol. Like the dinner scene with the dad, she was so awkward.

Definitely, but that was kinda the point. She was even dressed awkward and is suddenly, jarringly inserted into the scene

Not sure he to feel about The Visit. It was kinda slow up until the halfway mark. The twist was good, I genuinely didn't see it being that. My jaw dropped at the reveal scene. The climax felt kinda rushed tho.

I give it 6.8 out of 10
