Possibly. You can buy the song straight from the top songs list and by searching for it without going to the album page though it should help album sales slightly.

I'm glad they did. It's always messy when some people are buying the single version and some the album version. It looks less popular to radio stations and such if there are two versions around the 40's than if there is one version in the top 20.
