The Visit was great
Since it was an M Night film, I was coming up with all sorts of conspiracy theories for a twist but I didn't see that coming
The Yahtzee scene literally ***** on lives.
I just saw Girlhouse. Fun little slasher flick. I hope slashers make a come back like they did in the late 90s.
I actually think this year will be the comeback.
With Friday The 13Th, leatherface, Chucky 7, Halloween returns, Nightmare on elm Street (2017 I think)
I'm so excited !
You can say the lame part is lies, but the movie is DEFINITELY Poultergeist remade. Suburban family living in nice house, their kid is chased by ghosts due to special traits he (she in Poultergeist) possesses, ghosts kindap him and take him to alternate realm, dad goes in to try and rescue... Literally the same plot
We Are Still Here was incredible. First of all, the cinematography, score, and direction were fantastic. The film is very atmospheric and it did a great job at that. The pacing and general feel are very similar to The House of the Devil, another classic. The acting was questionable, but that kind of added to the charm of the film for me? It worked for the characters they were playing. The story is very out there but refreshing... you guys should check it out.

I hadn't watched horror movies in a long time because all the mainstream ones are disgusting (except 2-3 at most in recent years) but I saw 3 this week and my faith in the genre was restored.
Unfriended was good (not a good horror movie but enjoyable), "It Follows" it a great movie (again, not scary but it's really great) and I just finished "The Babadook", how the hell is this not a classic? First time since I was a kid that a movie actually scared me (it would be perfect without the annoying kid, though)

I agree with everything you said, I really enjoyed it.
Do we know more about a release of Pod? It showed at SXSW as well and I heard great things.
Let The Right One In was beautifully directed. Very subtle. There wasn't anything particularly scary but I still enjoyed it, especially the relationship between the two main characters The music score >>>
I also watched The Cabin In The Woods. It was interesting in a cheesy way which isn't a bad thing. I really liked it! They managed to incorporate the typical clichés but with a modern twist. A few scenes cracked me up.
