(RTTNews) - It has been confirmed that the follow-up to Rihanna's 2009 smash album Rated R will be dropping on November 2. News of the release comes courtesy of a division of Universal Music called Barclay, which serves as the singer's European distributor.
An official statement from Island Def Jam has yet to be made about the new disc, which will be Rihanna's fifth studio album.
In other Rihanna news, sources have been reporting that a new song, "Only Girl," will serve as the lead single off the new album. Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton is now claiming, however, that a track called "Cheers" will be the lead-off single.
According to reports, Rihanna is currently preparing to shoot the music video for "Only Girl" somewhere in Hawaii.
