Apparently Tara Brown is being hailed as one of the greatest journalists in Australian history because of it, and is being compared to Jana Wendt. I'm trying to watch it but I keep pausing it because there's crocodile tears. I don't know why, but nothing makes me cringe more than someone pretending to cry. It's just so transparent. I can't keep watching.
He's so gross too. Like he even looks like a pedophile. God I hope child services take their daughter away.

Yes! I was gonna mention it yesterday but didn't think anyone on here would've seen it.
Tara Brown was incredible, she's truly one of our greatest journalists. She's been widely underrated for years so I'm thrilled the rest of Australia is finally taking note.
Onto the father, my god. I don't know how many times I cringed watching the interview. I actually felt really uncomfortable and dirty watching him talk, like he was violating me. He's beyond gross. The pathetic attempt at tears, the inconsistent story, the fact he never once referred to Gammy as his son, and what was his wife doing there? She can't speak a word of English and just made everything more confusing. The whole interview was a disgrace, they just dug a deeper hole for themselves.
When the story first broke (and before we knew what we know now) I actually had sympathy for them. The attack from the worlds press was ruthless and unjustified I felt. At the time, the story was that when they learnt their son would be born with down syndrome, they asked the surrogate to terminate the pregnancy. She refused (which imo she has no right to do, it's not her child. But that's a whole other argument) so they took their daughter and the surrogate decided to keep the son. Based solely on that, the initial attack and hatred from the press was uncalled for.
Knowing what we know now tho, throw the bloody book at him. Hopefully child services will step in
