I agree with gloamingtheplain. Although I loved SPN and LN, I HATED the vampires in TS3. Their abilities were cool and all but they looked tragic. The pale gray skin and the bright eyes were messy and uncalled for. And the sparkles + the fact that they can't die from sunlight makes them useless.
You only need Supernatural though, $40 for 5 new life states, a new world and many many new features, I think that's better than a quick little game pack for half the price
Also, if most of it is just a basic version of Twilight then I wonder what the vampires from TS2 are
Those The Sims 3 Vampires you posted, what is good about them apart from a few gimmicks?
They don't do anything. They eat Plasma, and have a bunch of interactions that do nothing.
What can Vampires do that normal Sims can't that is of any real meaning?
Like...ch. The Sims 4 Vampires have reported 25+ advancements, that allow them to transform to bats etc.
They don't even die in the Sunlight in The Sims 3.
Look at the bottom of the videos. Half the time the maker of the video is like "if this happens, this happens, but it doesn't do anything"
Like when Vampires hypnotize Sims, it doesn't do anything. It's for FX.
4 is not worthy, capable, or deserving of the "Classic" Sims humor yet so they should be working on improving the base of what it is. Even The Sims 2 remaster is selling incredibly so that's not an excuse anymore.
I don't need them wasting resources/development time on a "joke" when they should be working tirelessly on improvements and additions that were left out.
If they are not working on TS5 right now I ****ing swear it can't even get any worse.
um...Aspyr don't manage The Sims 3. And EA have been saying that since 2013.
The Sims 2 "remaster" only has to sell like 10 copies to chart on the Mac App Store
EA removed it from Origin, because it was costing them more to keep it up for sale, than it was causing profit.
Yaya, whatever man. As I said, it was made as an extra during someone's lunch break. Not having a Talking Toilet wouldn't have meant anything.
Plenty of people like the shift in focus the Sims 4 has, and if you don't, I couldn't care less. Lmao.
I don't even work on The Sims 4, or have contact with The Sims 4 team. I have a contact who works on the Sims FREEPLAY who knows extra bits of information about 4.
The Sims 4 did leave out a lot of stuff the previous games did, but it added a lot of stuff the others didn't.
The Sims 4 team also said from Day 1 it would be more like The Sims 1.
So things that were added in 2 - 3 may come back, but the focus is starting fresh, with the original game as the source.

TS2's vampires>>>>>>>>>>
The BLEH alone>>>>>>>
The Sims 2 Vampires were great, and these will expand on those kind of Vampires, instead of "Twilight Vampires".
The Supernaturals in The Sims 3 were terrible compared to 2. Like look at Aliens even. They abduct you in a UFO, and then leave in a Car
I completely forgot I has TS4 but now I've gotten really into it again. Are there any packs that are like too good to pass on?
EPs:
Get Together
City Living
GPs:
Spa Day
SPs:
I found Backyard Stuff to be surprisingly awesome. They even got Leona's 2015 messy bob hairstyle in this pack lol.
The rest, including the stuff packs is really based on how you play (retail, dining out, outdoor activities, kids stuff, fancy life + butler, hot tubs...)
IMO the only packs that really aren't worth it are Cool Kitchen, Movie Hangout, Luxury Living and to some extent Vintage Glamour. Fittingly these 4 are just stuff packs.
Oh and there's the free Christmas stuff, in case you don't have it

And it's working.
Aspyr reworked TS2 and did it well, EA could care less. You would think you would trust them..
And it is selling extremely well for the PAID Mac platform since they offer it for free on Windows. And it is a "remaster" since they updated controls and added retina display - just because they are nice.
"plenty of people" .. like the community?? because literally every fansite says otherwise. It is getting dragged. constantly. They even had to do a complete damage control (that backfired to the point where admins on the fansites refuse to participate in EA/Maxis' previews and meets) on their own forum. Two fans on this site and some youtubers do not speak for the community. Visit Simsvip, BeyondSims, Mod, exc.
The stuff I bolded has been debunked by former management and devs. Sims 4 was originally an online game, but with the complete and utter fail of Simcity, they decided to slap a 4 on it and call it a day.
Also, basic things were confirmed by the head of community management to NOT being possible since the foundation tool they built the game on can NOT support it. So many things in 2 and 3 are not going to be possible.
I'm not even trying to rain on a parade and I love the look of the sims in this game more than any other iteration .. but I didn't think ya'll were following that blindly behind to make those accusations.

Fansites are upset because EA decided to dump them, and moved on to YouTubers and Streamers. That's the full tea. They were all heavily on board (and somewhat still are) before that drama.
They only offer it free on Windows if you own a Windows copy to begin with. So it's not free. You need a code that no one else has redeeemed. Which means you had to have owned it.
And also, here's a little bit of tea. Olympus is not The Sims 4. EA were developing Olympus and Icarus. Olympus was an online game, worked on by EA Brightlight. Icarus is The Sims 4.
EA Brightlight died, and it was passed on to Maxis. Maxis was going to premiere it in 2013, a year before The Sims 4.
With SimCity failing, Olympus died. Icarus lived on, BUT was then rushed to fit a quicker deadline. But then was delayed because there was no way it would be done. But because they had already decided to rush it, they "did" cut features, but not the features people think.
Terrain tools was something in the original Sims 4. They ran out of time. Same with Pools.
Toddlers were never on the table. The "family focus" was never there. Not even a Family Tree. It was as family orientated as The Sims 1, basically.
Other things that were cut, were more technical than planned features. They wanted to do more with Multitasking and because they were cut short, they have issues with Sims sitting still, and a few other things. But most of The Sims 4 was technical based, that caused the delay. But not actual features.
They *did* however, have to cut depth on gameplay they had. Emotions were supposed to be deeper. Much deeper. They didn't finish traits. They also didn't finish AI and clipping. All technical stuff. But the actual content was decided.
Olympus was made to "resemble" the Sims 4 style, but was the reason why SimsSocial was cancelled with no follow up, despite being really popular. Olympus was meant for iPhones and Tablets. Potentially PC, but would be freemium.
Icarus was the code name for the Sims 4 though, and the reason why you don't hear about Icarus although it was leaked the same time as Olympus (a picture of a grey haired Sim in an early version of Windeburg) is because no one calls the Sims 4 Icarus, not when The Sims 4 was announced.
I've said too much (), but like ATRL is where I get my tea, so
I was right about City Living (even down to the name and what the cover looked like) so it's up to you.

Although SPN was one of my favorite EPs, but I must say that only witches and fairies standout in that EP. Vampires and werewolves were a huge disappointment. Zombies were cool but for temporary gameplay.
I really hated how they sparkle

Here's my ranking so far:
All the three EPs are cute but City Living>>>Get Together>Get To Work.
GP: Dine Out=(maybe the upcoming vampires GP?)>Spa Day>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Outdoor Retreats

Actually, I read from the words of said fansites, that the community manager was a dick who tried to censor what they reported and they were fed up with that..VIP and Community, right?
I believe It was free for all with code ILOVETHESIMS. They just started fully selling again on Mac with updated graphics. Also, you can contact EA for a download where they send you a code
DAMN YOU GOT THE TRUTH SERUM. That's interesting ..Do you have any more information on Icarus??
Didn't know this. I'm assuming they wanted to do way more with the Icarus one but why on earth would they rush release it so passionately if it wasn't even close to being finished? Also, why did they build on this system if it wasn't capable of open world, terrain tools, open water, exc.? I'm just saying it doesn't feel like a proper transition from 3 which makes me kinda weary that they are not even working on TS5.
TS4 is excellent in terms of animation and the way the sims look (3 was the WORSE they have ever looked) but it just doesn't seem like they can do much - especially with the limitations of the system.
It actually looks amazing, the coloured glowing eyes and the fact that babies can now be born as vampires, that's awesome, I'm excited to get this! It's a mixture of Sims 2 and Sims 3 Vampires.

Yeah, she did. But the reason why she tried to "censor" them was because the put a post up with a forum member and the forum member actually asked Drake to send them a message to take it down. They refused. It actually was nasty from SimsVIP's end too. She basically said the fan can get over it. There was a huge expose thread of the forum that's worth a read.
A lot of the stuff that they wanted done could be fixed up after launch. With Icarus they tried to do "too much" and then had to backtrack. For example, Multitasking in itself creates hundreds of variables. It's so damn power consuming and they really needed to start with adding multitasking to certain actions but instead built the game around it.
When I'm on my PC not my phone, I'll go into full on detail.

Oh boy....
This is so typical EA. They've responded to fan feedback with the leaks
The pack was definitely not call just "Vampires" a few weeks ago. What are they doing?
I'd actually wait for release to see how this goes. It seems they're going to remodel a Destination as a World instead, too. All the buildings look like old school lodges though, not houses. Unless they've rebuilt them?
Also, they probably have to change the cover. The trailer still says "Escape to Forgotten Hollow" gah.
Usually the cover for packs come the day of the trailer, but this time it's blank.

It still looks amazing. But yeah, it's different.
The name does seem odd but it's not EA without at least 1 screw up.
And they did release the box art, but it's not in the trailer
