It's not. the poll is just some random thing they do every year - the official list is chosen by the editors and Miley has a really good chance at making it this year but i won't get my hopes up.

Only if he's gonna give her his best material. I mean On My Own is the best song of all time and stuff, but it's such paint-by-the-numbers Pharrell. You know We Can't Stop and Drive and SMS were all Mike Will pulling out the big guns, stepping out of his comfort zone, innovating, etc. Not here for Miley getting scraps anymore now that she's made a comeback as an A-list standalone pop juggernaut.

I definitely want her to keep Mike Will though, and I hope she continues working with Dr. Luke and finally work with Max Martin. I'd also be here for something from Stargate as long as it isn't a Rihanna leftover.

I wouldn't mind either, not because I don't like his productions but because he's everywhere and there are so many songs right now on the radio that are produced by him, people will eventually get tired of it.

Oooh I also low-key want her to work with Priscilla Renea. She could be the next Sia tbh. She's written bops (Timber, Gang Bang Watch N Learn, Promise This) and amazing ballads (Fix a Heart, In Case, All I See Is Gold) I foresee the White Rihanna pushing the Black Sia into superstardom a la Diamonds.
