Simona is still young though, even if she won't reach #1 by this time next year i have no doubt she will do it eventually, with her consistency and great work ethic it would be hard not to.

older players are decaying or retiring, yall can't be living in the past forever. Halep, Bouchard, Muguruza will be the new IT girls in just a few years and people will have to either deal either stop watching female tennis.

If she loses in the Quarters she will have stay at number 6 as long as Kerber does not reach the SFs (she will move down to no.7 if Kerber reachers SF or better

If she reaches the Semifinals she will be number 5 if Kerber does not reach the finals (she will be number 6 if Kerber does F or better)

If she reaches the finals she will be number 5 if Kerber does not win (she will be number 6 if Kerber wins)

Let me do if she wins in a separate post since I have to include Halep in the equation
