Everyone says that, and so did I at first, but he's actually a little cutie and HXH is way too good to pass up just because of that. He's not an OP character that wins every fight like Natsu, luffy, goku, etc. But you see him get stronger and stronger and it makes sense and he is a likable character imo. He has some really badass moments though. And the second main character, Killua, is the actual badass character.
You could watch magi (50 eps)
Or seven deadly sins (24 eps)
They're unfinished and short but are derived from long running shounen manga (~300 chapters). They have the typical shounen elements
there's a HINT of Saber Marionette J that just makes me love it even more.
