funny enough, it's probably because it's easier to pander nowadays with our connectedness through the internet.

The large focus isn't individualistic pursuits of art, it's maximizing personal appeal. There was a time when that was only the labels job, but all too often, artists create with the thought of wider acceptance in mind.
