It is better than her stop doing anything after she gets dragged.
I'd rather her do nothing than be mediocre. If that was the case we wouldn't have had Pretty Girls, Britney Jean, her FF promo performances and life would be excellent

The outfit made her look like a really tacky wrestler imo. It also didn't fit the visuals of the performance at all nor the show in general.
What she wore in the Make Me video, something lace-y would've fit more. It's not like she needed the leotard for movement anyways.
Ironically enough Beyonce wore something in the same vein.

Goodnight everyone. I hope those of you who didn't like the performance come to appreciate it in time. To Brit, congrats on overcoming your fears and anxiety and taking the VMA stage again. I hope the negativity of some of your fans doesn't ruin this moment for you or make you regret your decision to perform. You're an inspiration to many of us.
Guys I honestly don't think we'd be bitching as much if her performance was scheduled for a different slot.
Like this would've been a good opener imo, but following Beyoncé tonight was not the tea and it ended up putting a very sour taste in my mouth tbh
No. Would still whine.
It was a run-of-the-mill Vegas performance. It was cute! It was good.
But NOT for the VMA's. The occasion was the issue, Not the time slot. The fact she changed her Vegas costume and called it good for her return VMA performance.
Her performance was good. I can't believe actual stans are complaining. Her energy and confidence >>>>>>>
She did what she could with the song.
I hope the press doesn't do too much on her performance. It was her best in over a decade and she deserves to have nothing but praise for conquering her anxiety and performing. I thought she slayed and I enjoyed it more the second time watching.
-Her confidence
-Her overcoming her fear of performing at the VMAs again
-Her energy
-Her look
-Her incredible body
-She looked really into it and most importantly, happy
-Her white carpet look was her best look this decade
-The fact she didn't use most of the POM choreo
-The beginning of the performance where she drops to the floor
-When she grabbed G Eazy's penis
-The pre-recorded vocals during the G-Eazy song
-The fact she wasn't nervous at all
-The fact it was the second best performance of the night
What I didn't like:
-The fact there wasn't anything new or exciting. That's the biggest problem
-The cheap production
-The "pow" moment was missing
-The fact she didn't perform another song from Glory instead of that G-Eazy song
-The lip-syncing looked off during some parts
-The fact it didn't feel like a Britney Spears VMA performance
And the fact that she performed after Beyonce
Britney was good. The performance was not the tea.
What baffles me is the fact that she pre recorded only part of the performance. Aside from the little mess up, her bit during MM&I had the most swag imo, and was truly the highlight.
Honestly so SO very over the CD vocals. Not sure why she continues to do it when she's constantly lambasted by the media for being the ONLY major artist in the industry who shamelessly lip syncs to her studio tracks.
I appreciate it for what it was and I agree with everything that Anticipating said. I've come to the conclusion that Make Me just isn't a good song to perform live.
The red carpet remains her best red carpet look in 13 years and 2016 remains her best year in 13 years.
We've gotten an amazing album, an amazing residency, an amazing BBMAs performance, an okay VMAs performance, she looks flawless and, most importantly, she's confident.
I think the main problem was the performance was a badly planned one.
Britney herself was the best part of it, she did what she could.
This. Her team is just not the best anymore. She needs better handlers overseeing her. She was on point tbh.It's.what happens.when.your lead sngle is not explosive as Toxic.
