I just watched it and I was surprised at how much energy she had. She didn't seem nervous almost at all. It was badly planned but she did what she could with it tbh. Her moves were pretty sharp with the two dancers at the beginning. I think that though it is messy i liked seeing her full of life like that. All of you are making me pretty depressed now, along with the usual suspects gloating...

And you guys set yourself up for disappointment. We should know by now that Britney isn't here for the shock factor and she has loooong moved on from that phase. I watched it with my roommates (non-stans) and they loved it and that's because they don't analyze every little bit and enjoyed the moment.

She actually needed a new team after Circus. One that'd work professionally to maintain her image and help her get better, get rid of the anxiety etc. But I guess that wasn't meant to be when Jamie is pulling the strings and it is enough for him as long as she gets paid

It wasn't horrible but definitely not what I was expecting. The problem is that it was...just there. I feel like if she did this at any other award show or at GMA no one would've had a problem with it. However she should have done way more. The VMAs are all about gimmicks and she knows that. Overall it was quite boring.

Like, I feel like Britney herself wasn't bad at all. The performance on the other hand was lame.
