It's a nightmare! TEOG, Telephone, Paparazzi peaked sooner in sales and then started rising later on radio. It's ALWAYS something with Gaga

See, I'm worried she's going to be up against a streaming monster, which would happen if a song like "Little Talks" or even "The A Team" were to take off by then.

I'd cry tbh. The fact that it's totally possible too is even more sad. She's entitled to like 5 or so number 1's but only has 3 I hope she can gain some of her own smash hit number 1's

Better than Creedence Clearwater Revival though. 5 number twos and no number ones.
And Madonna also has six number twos, including Express Yourself.

Yep, Madonna has the most number twos of any artist. Which isn't a bad record to have, I guess.
I'd even say that Material Girl is one of her more remembered songs, and it peaked at number two, so it's not all THAT Bad (Romance... )
But, perhaps we'd see the same thing with Bad Romance. It will likely be among the most remembered of her singles, but it was a number two peak. That doesn't make it less memorable.

I don't think Radio cares much about those requests. Remember, Ryan Seacrest often said Gaga's singles were the most requested, yet still didn't play it.

I'm trying myself to get into the music industry. It definitely has to do with radio politics. Payola and who the radio thinks people would rather hear, rather than who's fans request their music to be played. It's sick, but that's how it works. Gaga won the MTN nightly countdowns like 20-29 times in a row and she was still getting lower than average radio updates.

Yep, I agree. I'm glad a lot of her songs are pretty well up there though. Her whole single collection is almost well enough to be on a greatest hits album. Which is a great feat for an artist. I'm proud of her and hopefully she adds more to the collection

Out of what she's released so far, I think a Greatest Hits would have the following
Just Dance
Poker Face
Bad Romance
Born This Way
The Edge of Glory
And depending on when they were to release it and what other kinds of hits they could gather, they could reasonably fit in Telephone in there as well.

I would add paparazzi to that list even though I'm not a big fan of it

I agree. I'd definitely add Telephone/Paparazzi in there. They may have not sold great everywhere but they were for sure hits and had impact. Songs like Love game, MTN, Judas, and Y&I would more or less likely either not be on it or would be released in different countries. But that's just my opinion. I could see them doing it like they did for Britney Spears hits albums It was basically just a singles collection.

Well, Telephone was a UK #1, so it would fit in here. Paparazzi... eh, maybe.

Paparazzi would definitely fit, imo.
Anything else doesn't' garner a slide.

Alejandro is a classic in Latin America and Spain
and the song had cultural impact, it should be in a greatest hits!

When you look at her peaks though for all of her songs she's always had such really good global appeal! I could so many of her songs besides the obvious ones that didn't do so well being added in a greatest hits. Even if they weren't so worthy.
