legend x did the same and has the same problem. at least shakira has waka waka. without it, she'd be in nelly and fergie territory stuck as a relic of the 2006 billboard hot 100. the single she just put out is awful. i know that can't be the best on the album. her album is going to flop badly.
In a weird way I kinda want it to, maybe that way RocNation can put her ass to promote her music instead of wasting her time with The Voice.
I never got why people made fun of Shakira's voice.
Other than her random goat wails(Which don't bother me)
She doesn't sound weird.
Her vocal style has a lot of influence from her Lebanese roots, that's where that guttural and "goat-like" voice comes from. No one else in mainstream pop sounds like her.
