I don't think this will recover. Requesting to HAC and Triple A is useless when the song is already top 10 in those formats. The song won't keep going higher on HAC if the airplay they are giving him doesn't match his iTunes performance. He almost has 30million AI, he should be in the top 100. If it is inconsistent promo, but they are still giving him promo. The song should have stabilized after the Ellen performance. I was optimistic before Ellen saying "oh let's wait till the Ellen performance." Now, we can't keep making excuses. Like Ich said people are just not connecting to the song well enough. I don't know how Pop airplay would have helped him because he is barely getting any Pop airplay (well duh it hasn't been sent). Like I said the song needed to be sent to Pop two weeks ago before the album preorder. His label worked this out the same as Gone3x, but they were mistaken to do that because RF moved up A LOT faster on HAC than Gone3x ever did.

Nope I don't see it as an excuse because the song is not doing bad because of the lack of Pop airplay. The song could have maybe done better with Pop airplay, but the song needed to be doing good with the 30 million AI that is already has. As fans it is good to not lose objectivity.

Maybe the will announce more promo next week. GMA is good promo and let's see if they have him perform on American Idol (or why else would they release the album the same week). About the radio tour, yeah he needed to do one, but lol he got unconditional love from HAC and Triple A without the radio tour.

For reference, Gone3x entered the top 100 on iTunes with about 10 million AI, before it was being used as the goodbye song on Idol . . . And before it was performed there too.

I don't think he'll perform on Idol otherwise they'd say it i'm quite sure. Would love to be wrong but i'm not holding my breath

Besides it would be great if he did a radio tour even though he's getting radioplay on HAC and AAA, it solidify his relationship with them and prepare them for the next single, but you jus can't sit at home and release the song and let it there like an A lister. I'd prefer him to do one but if he doesn't it's a bad idea.

It was used in commercial grooveshark or something like that early on even before it became a single

I doubt that commercial helped since you said it was early on. Gone3x didn't enter top 100 until March.

Maybe he didn't do a radio tour because he wanted to rest. He has been touring since last year and during January-February he was in the studio making the album. Then Canadian tour March (haha this ruined it). Why couldn't they wait to tour after the new album came out. I guess they want those coins as much as possible

I don't think they will decrease the album price when it is still signed. I guess when the signed albums are sold out they will decrease it to $15.

Hate who? Phillip agreed to it. I just think he would rather tour than go on a radio tour. He is still learning that singles are important, but he did say in one interview that he was unconcerned about commercial success. I just think he isn't that intuitive sometimes. He needs for this single and album to have success because he is in a major label.
