There's a short summary of Peter's history with Nicki here, the first paragraph. Peter has been coming at Nicki for the longest. He brutally bashed her Grammys performance (which prompted RR), Starships, and RBMS, and he is always has negative words to say about Nicki on his show.
So come the show, Peter, the host of the show, says "I see the real hip-hop heads sprinkled in here. I see them. I know there are some chicks here waiting to sing 'Starships' later—I'm not talking to y'all right now. **** that ********. ********. I'm here to talk about real hip-hop ****." If that wasn't enough, he gets on stage AGAIN and goes on another anti-Nicki real hip-hop rant.
So no, it's not just one comment saying "Nicki, sis, Starships ain't hip hop". It's much more like that, and I'm not here for y'all trying to act like it's not. Keep it 100% or let's not even conversate.
Writing paragraphs saves me from having to repeat myself and clarify what I'm saying more than what's necessary.

He doesn't like it. Deal. He's allowed to say that and people are allowed to not like Onika. Oh.
I see no problems/lies.

He's allowed to say whataver he wants, you're right, but when a host, which he was, disses the guest and his/her fans right before they're about to hit the stage, that guest is allowed to act accordingly. Like Nicki said, she's been through so much **** that she could care less about who likes her or not, the point is, it was a matter of disrespect. A host mistreated his guest and intended for her fans to be be left feeling inferior. His comments were malicious.

No girl. That's downright wrong.
THIS IS HIP HOP, he seemed like a douche, but he didn't dissed her image, he even complimented the fact that she's a female rapper from Queens, blah blah blah, etc. The thing is, he went down at Starships. And he was right. That's pop music, that's commercial, why she was mad at the truth? Yes, she's expanding, yes, hip hop artists can go outside the box, and yes, she did a pop song. The thing is, IF she was the HBIC she SOOO likes to say she is, she would have appeared at the show and performed with Nas and Lauryn Hill and give HER FANS the performance of their lives. That's what a true MC do, and that would have been the biggest middle finger to that jerk. There's no excuse for what Nicki did.

Was I talking to you tho? Didn't you say bye? ![Bibliotheque](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRL_Smilies_All/atrlers/biblio_zps23dff242.gif) I mean, I said:

You've already shown that you're not about that, so I'm not interested in having this discussion with you.
Especially not when you can't even see the problem with a host trashing a performer on stage before the performer's set. ![Bibliotheque](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRL_Smilies_All/atrlers/biblio_zps23dff242.gif)

No excuse? Nicki, her fans, and her team felt disrespected. That reason is valid enough considering a host was the one doing the dissing. Her fans willl get what was promised to them you're only hoping for more of a backlash at this point. You can hold your breath though, i doubt this is over.

I didn't say I was talking to you either. I just used your quote to explain in general that Nicki is probably the most sensitive artist when it comes to "haters" and "critics". She's not exempt from negative feedback. PERIOD.
By the way, a word to the wise: "Conversate" is not a word no matter how much you want it to be...Before you try to "read" me for filth, read a dictionary. I'm not interested in arguing with you because you have yet to offer anything of substance to the conversation, except that Nicki is some modern treasure to hip-hop (laughable) and that her creative/artistic feelings were hurt. Not so much. Remember she "gets money"--her own words to Flex last night.
Here for a challenge, not for you.
Good day.

... You didn't say any of that though. ![Bibliotheque](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRL_Smilies_All/atrlers/biblio_zps23dff242.gif) You quoted what I said about Peter's comments, said that Peter can have is own opinion, and that I should deal.

The correct word is "converse", I already knew that. If you must know, the only reason I used "conversate" is because I had a lyric from the good sis Katie's "I Need a Hitta" in my head as I wrote that. Back-formation is not even relevant to this conversation, so lets stop there.

And the nerve of the first comment. ;;;;lkl;ll Girl bye, don't bother quoting.

Right, but Nicki and others are especially sensitive precisely because of her minority status in the hip-hop world. So sometimes it’s hard to distinguish between genuine critique of her product and behavior vs. criticism motivated by sexism. It’s kind of like Obama and race.

If only yall put as much effort into paying attention in school and getting common sense instead of wasting energy on artists you don't like. Your posts would make much more sense.

The most expensive tickets at Summer Jam were $200. I WENT to Summer Jam and I'm fine with the free show.

Peter should have been knew that the Nicki from the mixtapes is dead. I wouldn't have booked her in the first place at a HIP HOP concert.

SO WHAT? If she's a true performer graduated from LaGuardia Highschool and a "theatre major" as she SO calls herself she should know that the show must continue. She could have performed, and as I said, that would have been her biggest middle finger to everyone who doubted her as a true Queens female rapper.

Wayne pulled her + the rest of YM out. You're not going to go against the PRESIDENT of your label.

Well she's making up for it by setting up a new NY concert this summer.
Plus if her so-called 'Die-Hards' knew what happened and actually loved her, they should be supportive.
And she even apologized to her fans. The ONLY apology that occured that night she cancelled.
HOT97 didnt even apologize
