It's kind of annoying how there's so many empty seats in so many of these venues. These athletes literally dedicate their lives to this moment and the least the Olympics could do would be to ensure the venues are full.

I know. The dressage crowds were pretty bleak given the occasion. And the sevens. It's kind of a flat Olympics. The athletes are great but Rio seems inconvenienced about the whole thing.

Rio has been fine so far. Sure there have been some problems but there were just as many problems in Beijing, Athens, and Sydney.
The prices for tickets were mostly outrageous for a lot of the events and for a lot of events, they are sold in a lottery. Meaning that a lot of people who want tickets aren't given the initial opportunity and they lose interest. Then some of those who do get the opportunity to buy the tickets don't always go through with the purchase and then we have those empty seats.
Dressage is so boring, bring back the whitewater arena!
The empty stands have been so distracting... I'd be interested to see Rio's Balance Sheets after these games tbh, must be making a massive loss.
What's even more annoying is the fact that the BBC can't just pick a channel and keep the Olympics on that single channel. On BBC 1 until 6 for the news, BBC2 from 6 to 7, BBC1 from 7 to 7:30 for Eastenders, BBC2 at 7:30...
The horses are so ****ing incredible. Whilst I don't find it particularly entertaining, they're so beautiful and captivating. It constantly surprised me how intelligent these horses are!
Didn't realise the Velodrome was starting today. Britain better snatch again.
Urgh, not Sir Chris Hoy commentating, Sir Chris Hoy is really annoying, because Sir Chris Hoy is always called Sir Chris Hoy, Sir Chris Hoy does not deserve to be called Sir Chris Hoy just because he can ride a damn bike. (Can't believe it's already been 4 years of me holding this grudge against him, how time flies.)
