After repeated listened heres my ranking..
1. Bird Set Free - 9/10
Gorgeous album opener (Cannot believe 'Flashlight' replaced this for Pitch Perfect 2)
2. Alive - 8.5/10
Stomping, survival song. I wouldn't of mind either Sia or Adele singing this anyway. Still a great song.
3. One Million Bullets - 10/10
Absolute beautiful song. Lyrics are just beautiful and the delivery is so creative. Love it.
4. Move Your Body - 9/10
The best thing that could of happened for Shakira in these times. Terrible she passed on it.. 9.5/10
5. Unstoppable - 9/10
Thumping, pulsating stomping. Empowering. Great verses, amazing production.
6. Cheap Thrills - 8.5/10
Stupid mistake for Rihanna to pass on this.. It's better than Work (whatever that song is anyway)
7. Reaper - 10/10
Rihanna is an idiot for passing on this too.. Its better than ANYTHING on ANTI - (minus Kiss It Better)
and I'm still totally baffled why Kanye has writing and producing credit when neither him or Rihanna showed up to writing sessions..
8. House on Fire - 9/10
Don't know who this was for. but whoever turned this down.. Again STUPIDITY..
9. Footprints - 10/10
Beyonce ALSO passed on this.. And took the dismal Pretty Hurts instead??
10. Sweet Design - 10/10
Beyonce ALSO passed on this!? Im glad because I hear no one but JLo on it!!
11. Broken Glass - 10/10
Pop GOLD. Must be a single at some point. One of the best chorus' ever written and delivered... The vocals are IMMENSE - and the last 40 secs is the best BREAKDOWN of a song i've ever heard.
12. Space Between -10/10
Gorgeous album closure. Amazing vocals, gorgeously written. This is the song that Rihanna's 'Higher' should of been.
Overall ranking - 9
EXTREMELY proud of Sia for this album and her relentlessness at refusing to allow GREAT music to be unheard.. The fact that she was able to release a cohesive, fresh, exciting album out of leftover tracks that many A-Listers turned down if a MASSIVE feat and says an awful lot about a music industry that is fast dying. Thank goodness for artists like Sia.. She is an absolute force to be reckoned with and I'm sincerely glad that all those lesser talented artists (minus Adele) passed on all the songs..
