If the higher ups nix the idea, that doesn't make her a puppet. Of course she has to listen to the bosses. She might be a boss to some degree but she is not the ultimate boss otherwise she wouldn't be signed to a label it would be independently ran by her.

Exactly...I'm proud that she gets paid top dollar but people can't seriously think that she is in control of everything. Every artist has to answer and sometimes fight to a higher up.
