Also, I'm PRETTY sure we aren't born with tattoos or piercings either but as she said at the beginning of the era, being "born this way" is not supposed to be taken literal but to describe how you feel at that moment and being able to rebirth yourself, or some BS like that. She mentioned this when talking about Rick Genest (Zombie Boy) and how he was born that way even though he wasn't actually born that way.
The only "solid" comment that is not up for interpretation is that she said she will never get plastic surgery. I can see that being an issue.
Anyway, I think it's only monsters and Gaga's haters who are even bothered by it. I haven't seen it reported by any major news outlets nor is it enough to cause a drastic change in her appearance.
