BoA and Hyori are legends, then there's also G.NA and IU. Plus HyunA has done a lot of solo work over the past year and all four of the Brown Eyed Girls have seen some solo success, Ga-In in particular.
Wonder Girls fell off big time once they started thinking they could have any success in the US, and though Wonder World did well, they're going to have to do more to reinstate what they used to have. Who gon check me?
There should be about 5 groups per tier anyway, so I don't know why we're even discussing this. Tier 1 for K-pop girl groups would consist of Girls' Generation, 2NE1, KARA, Wonder Girls, and T-ara.
Kara is not a top tier group by any stretch of the imagination, and I invite you to step outside to figure out how obvious it is that people still think perfectly fine of the group that had 3 genre changing singles before they actually tried to do something for HALLYU expansion then came back to acclaim. If they're failing, then so is everyone else. They did more than you're going to possibly give them credit for because you've got your Stan shades on.

And girl, I understand what Wonder Girls have done in Korea. I understand that they've done a lot. I understand that their past is filled with iconic moments and legendary singles. However, this IS 2012, and right now? They're still trying to regain what they used to have.

Hyori has a pretty good discography, but I prefer BoA's. G.NA is basic and useless save for Banana (which absolutely SLAYS), and while I think IU is very talented and a great girl, her discography is pretty boring.

They had literally all of 2008 to work up to those daesangs; you don't think those came solely from Nobody, do you? So Hot was also massive, as was Tell me. That was all cumulative. Expecting them to have mania from one release when their peak mania was from the combined steam of 3...ch.
And I'll say Kara's decent when they stop having basic ass key changes and basic ass filler on all of their releases.

Dead @ you claiming I have MY stan glasses on when you're denying what KARA have accomplished just because you don't like their material. Girl, who else would you put in that top tier instead of KARA? BEG may have tons of critical acclaim, but they've only had 1 huge single. The other girl groups are nowhere near.
