Thoughts on Goodnight Mommy:

The trailer was better than the movie. Though it had some amazing cinematography and a creepy scene or two, it added in pointless torture scenes for no reason at all and the ending was predictable, unoriginal, and just plain lazy. I can see this getting more positive buzz than most horror films because it is artsy, foreign, and for it's "twist" ending that was done better in a better movie. Avoid at all costs.

I watched Creep last night with my friend, we were cracking up the whole time even the ending was kinda funny I see how it could be scary if you think too deep about it.

the ending was no twist though? I found the whole film depressingly realistic / realistically depressing
i'm so glad it didn't have a classic horror twist involving an exorcism or aliens
the ending just proved what we were learning throughout the film..

Though it's more of a thriller, The Gift is easily one of the most scariest and well crafted movies I've seen in years. The acting was amazing and the final act was so intense. My jaw dropped and the last scene was so dark and powerful. Loved it and my favorite movie of the year so far. Just gotta wait and see if The Green Inferno tops it.

I thoroughly enjoyed The Gift as well. It's not a horror movie per se, but I see Bllody Disgusting and Best-Horror-Movies lappin it up. Very well-paced, well-acted, etc. And you shouldn't be waiting for Green Inferno to top it, you should be waiting for Crimson Peak.

I'm interested in seeing Crimson Peak but after Mama I'm just like no. The cinematography looks beautiful though.

I would watch The Den BTW. I didn't finish AGWHAAN but I liked what I saw. I thought The Den was chilling and amazingly made. I also loved the ending tho many hated it.

In darkness we fall was a nice watch although it could've been about 15 minutes shorter and it was a bit cliched at times but pretty good for a found footage thriller.

Goodnight Mummy is good,i expected better,but probably its just me.I couldn't find subtitles and my german is not the best,audio was quiet too.Creep started good,but got boring and dull.I think i've watched all the good horrors :cry:
