Nope.
Go on the forums. The email that was sent to SimsVIP was legit.
SimsVIP posted SimGuruDrakes email address, and the person who contacted SimGuruDrake.
They realised and took it down, but it was too late. The poster already got harassed over email.
SimsVIP accused of EA trying to censor them, when in actual fact, they did exactly what SimGuruDrake asked them to do.
So then, people exposed that it was because SimsVIP was angry and venting because she was only being invited to the Press Event for City Living, but didn't get an invite to the hands on event that YouTubers get. Since YouTubers need video footage, they get more hands on. Since fan sites just need information and bonus stuff, they get a tiny bit of hands on promo but mostly watch live playthroughs.
SimsVIP is just mad she wasn't getting both.
ANNNNND, it was exposed that SimsVIP was previously related to an incident where she was banned from EA because she stole from The Sims 3 store by hacking it.
So that is another reason why EA hates her guts.
As for SimsCommunity, they posted leaks that were emailed to them, when they were signed up to EA's influencer project. They didn't get an invite at all due to this.
Basically, they both dug a whole and have to deal with it. It's been confirmed since that articles that there are fan sites that are going to more than one event and SimsVIP wanted that too.
Read the forums and sip the Lipton.
Not to mention the "oh what a mess, I hate EA comment" oh yes EA is so bad that they PAY FOR PEOPLE to fly across the world, pay for their hotel, give them direct access to developers and the game. Like they are so bad, every other video game company is doing way more aren't they? Oh wait...
Say what you want about EA, but they are hardly bad for simply paying the same people over and over to come and check out the game. This time, SimsVIP still got invited to an event, she just want to the exclusive event.
Fansites weren't a focus this time, and it's now being given to Twitch streamers for the first time.
