Where'd you read that? ****, if MTV could get Gaga to perform last year they definitely would have. Her performances have been proven to boost ratings! She didn't have anything to perform/plug that year, which is why she was only on stage accepting awards :P.

I heard that MTV can't get her to perform because she has to keep going up to the stage and accept awards ..
It is like the same reason why Katy might not be performing this time.

Well, I'm sure if Katy really wanted to she could perform.

You're right though, with all the stage action for the awards, it sure would be difficult to perform AND accept 3-5 awards.

I'm just not sure if it's a decision by management, or MTV.

So basically today MTV add a lot of presenters at the VMAS but katy was not included even when is at VMA promo commercial as just aparence.

So I still had hope that MTV would confirm Katy as a perfomer! I was also thinking abou that myabe she would be ainvolved at Britney tribute perfoamance! however can´t wait for the VMAS!

I don't think she'll be able to perform sadly. Like someone said earlier, she may not have time to due to accepting awards. There may still be a chance, though it's looking slim. It would be pretty interesting if she was involved with the Brit tribute, makes me wonder what song she would've sang.

Lmao, it's not because she won't have time since she's accepting awards, it's because this year is Katy's year, so they're not going to let her perform. They're spreading the attention out between her, Gaga, and Britney to get as many people to watch.

Obviously. But chances are she's also going to be getting some awards, I doubt they would be able to fit her into the performance schedule. Same reason why Gaga didn't perform in 2009 I'm guessing.

LFN is likely to stay in the top then for a couple of weeks due to its high airplay. I would say 4-5 weeks. Everything depends on the next single. As LFN is likely going to wear off sooner than the other singles did, a next single should be announced sooner as well. But if I look back ET was announced as the next single already in December when Firework was on the top. Same for LFN, ET was still smashing. (I think it was #2). Hopefully by the beginng of September well know more about wheter there will be a 6th one of not.
