I really can't wait for GRRM to release the book and show D&D how it's done, because some of these conversations are just Do you think they are going to read the book and be like 'We should have done that!' 'Oh wow we done f**ked up didn't we.' 'That is so much better than our plot.'
Btw can anyone explain to me how this will work out? Will the show and the books end differently?
I loved that moment! Drogon giving a loving nod to his MOTHER.
When will the others?
Can I just say that the CG in this episode was stellar. Movie budget CG. Drogon looked gorgeous.
Last season Dany looked a little off riding Drogon, the keying was a little lazy and the lighting wasn't that good, but in this episode everything looked so good. They've got proper artists working on this show.
Nah. A few years ago GRRM told D&D what everyone's endings are.
Welp. Isn't this going to ruin a little bit the experience for the book readers?
I'm curious to see what the ratings were like for last night's episode. I also wish we could learn the worldwide ratings. I am sure that it'd be north of 20 million.

Even if he released WoW, the eight book (A Dream of Spring) is YEARS far away. It would be difficult to cram these two books in the next two seasons (knowing that they're less than 20 episodes), so there will be no point in releasing them immediately. They're too huge to fit them in and right now D&D are already planning on how the whole series will end in those next 2 seasons.
Thank you. I mean, a show has to be rewarding. There's no reward in having the good guys lose every episode.
Of course some things are predictable, but the reason they're predictable is because the writers are seeding all the events. If they didn't, we'd complain about a lack of proper setup. Everything would seem to come out of nowhere. That's no way to tell a story. We watch because we want to see certain things happen. Twists are fun every now and then, but they shouldn't be a rule as to how you write a story.

Yeah I know the books are going to be out years after the tv show ends. But they're still gonna read it and compare it.

Definitely! I was so, so impressed. To be honest, at this point the CGI is better than 99% of blockbuster movies. It definitely has improved with every season. The dragon stuff was pretty much flawless.
Amazing episode, feel that the whole situation in Mereen was slightly rushed, but i can forgive that, the CGI was great, Dany finally sorting **** out after 2 seasons of doing nothing
The battle looked amazing onscreen, i cackled at the mound of bodies trapping them though, like guurl
Why the **** was Rickon running in a straight damn line though!!!! I'd have hid behind one of those burning things and waited for Daddy Jon to come pull me onto his horse...
Or at least run but change direction slightly every time Ramsay fired another arrow.
But I expected him to let Rickon run for some of the distance and then set his hounds on him instead at the right moment so he could get close enough for Jon to see it.

I think HBO said that average US ratings for a season 5 episode were like 21M.
I'm sure that more than 100M people watch it worldwide
