There aren't a lot of artist making an album where all of the songs sound the same or is even in the same genre.
But y'all praise those while slamming Nicki as if she's the only one doing it.
TLOP, LEMONADE, ANTI, & Ari's album can be used for examples since they are 2016 releases.
Y'all praise these but will have a stroke if Nicki's album has a ballad and a rap song on the same disc.
I'm just having a discussion. I'm not personally coming at anyone.

And see the difference here is that these albums (Haven't heard ari's so idk) are incohesive but have QUALITY. They may have a few filler but not to where they wear the album down (BoL, BAH, TDG, GOYK, TNISY, PNP, etc... filler on top of filler) . They don't have your run of the mill 2012 sounding (Ari can get a bit generic, but I haven't heard her album so again idk) TNISY-esque stuff. They don't have the formulaic Love The Way You Lie rip offs (Bed of Lies). Sandcastles is a ballad yes, but it's not basic nor does it have that Top 40 formula. TPP had it's ups and it's down and the downs held the album back from being great. Still a good album nontheless.
That there is my problem. Not only was some of it incohesive (I can get over that) but it's also uninspired.
