She was the one that said a game with just Young Adults won't sell, the fans wants proper Sims game not some watered down Sims online trash.
She started working on The Sims 4 just after SimCity came out. She came up with the new CAS, Build Mode and was the one who pushed for all the features to be put back in.
EA's pervious CEO hated The Sims and the original person at Maxis, Lucy whatever her name was, is actually the one who let EA change the game entirely and had stopped giving two ***** about the game.
Have you seen how the game looked in 2013 before Rachel stepped in?
This tea was leaked back in 2013. And apparently Maxis was "a mess" in 2013, and so many people left, because they wanted to work on an online game and didn't have experience with an actual Simulator.
With that said, I don't think Rachel did enough post-launch, but she at least didn't let EA push her into keeping the original.
She was hired by EA because of her experience with online games, and she took one look at it and told EA it should be an offline one. Literally the week it was announced she was joining the Sims team, was the week EA's CEO said the game would now be an offline game.
Such a mess.
But I hope whoever takes over does a better job post launch, because i feel like she kind of gave up too.
