Venus is honestly one of my favourite Gaga songs, I think it's so great.
I agree, it's a flawless trainwreck of a song... I love the chorus particularly.
But the iTunes performance of it means it will flop miserably.
She should close the era with Venus as the 6th or 7th single.
4 Ed Sheeran - I See Fire 0.4961 0.5135
5 Lorde - Royals 0.4819 0.4880
6 Lady Gaga - Do What U Want (feat. R. Kelly) 0.4561 0.4418
And Ed is already #5.
DWUW should be #4 in no time.
Anyone knows if it'll be able to chart starting tomorrow because of the tracking week or Monday because of the album release?
Yes, starting from tomorrow's official release of the album and subsequent ending of the pre-orders, it'll be able to chart. So happy that it'll manage to debut high anyway
No dates yet but the guesses are for the end of the month, probably around the AMAs.
It's not doing bad in Europe so far.
Do What U Want
#6 United Kingdom (+1)
#9 Finland (=)
#10 Russia (+2)
#11 Germany (=)
#15 Italy (+5)
#18 Switzerland (-3)
#19 Denmark (+14)
#20 Austria (-3)
#20 Sweden (-5)
#25 Norway (+1)
#27 France (-4)
#34 Belgium (-11)
#34 Romania (+141)
#38 Spain (-11)
#45 Turkey (-6)
#46 Netherlands (-7)
That should be the perfect release date.
No ofc it's not but if there's nothing to keep it going it will fall. It's not the kind of song that holds itself strong in Europe without any support.

Yeah, that's sure.
It should benefit from the album release first and then from the video later so I guess it should do fine. Plus, she'll be starting the WW album promo soon and the performances will focus on this being the current single, I guess.

And no - she can't chart until next Sunday. But if she can stay strong throughout the week she'll have a good chart position on Sunday and then she'll have chart exposure and the video coming and she might gain a bit from that. A lot of my friends really love the song, this could be a big hit for her. I want it to be too.

Heard it on the radio last night + one of the biggest radio stations rated it 8/10 and 5/10 (Two persons ratings and this is a mostly alternative station) and they said it will be an inescapable hit

Speaking of, do we have a list of planned promotion or is nothing confirmed so far?
