Even if theyre not on the album they were still Gwen songs that followed trends It didnt made impact because its not on par of the quality of her previous albums and the change of state of pop music is different compared back then when Gwen was smashing. All of her current solo songs got poor callouts even Used to Love You thats why it failed to make an impact despite countless promo and such.
That was dancepop hun NOT electro pop...Gwens LAMB era in mainstream ushered the Fame era and etc. Admit it MMLY is generic Radio aint playing it because radio is ageist. Exactly theres no pure pop song like this currently smashing because the males are doing it. MMMLY is super radio friendly but I dont see it well connecting to the GP, wheres The Sweet Escape singles and LAMB did.

You implied Maroon 5 have their own trend which Gwen is following, I fail to see what that so-called trend is. MMLY is not generic, it doesn't sound like anything else on Top 40 radio nor does it sound like any of the songs on the BBH100 top 10. If the song followed the same urban sentiments of "The Hills", "Pillowtalk" or "Sorry", "Work" etc then I would label it as generic. I'm not saying its an experimental masterpiece, but it stands out from current hit songs.
Like I said, LAMB is a fantastic album but it did not introduce electropop into the mainstream "hun", although it is an integral album regarding the genre. However, the examples you used (Rich Girl, Hollaback Girl etc) are not electro pop. Madonna's "Music", "Beautiful Stranger", Janet's "Doesn't Really Matter" are just a few examples of electropop songs before LAMB. The Fame era, in my opinion is far more important in terms of ushering the electropop wave post-2008.
Male artists aren't "doing" songs which sound like MMLY. In fact, I don't think I've heard a pure pop song from a male artist in the past year. Obviously radio aren't playing the song due to Gwen's age which is irritating but I hope she can manage to score a Top 40 hit this era
