I really hope they push young Scott, Storm and Jean to the front of this movie. Fassbender said in an interview he's interested in seeing where Magento goes post-Apocalypse so he could be on board for more movies, but JLaw isn't and there's no word from McAvoy and Nick Hoult on their characters after this one. It's time to put the team X-Men together and go with them after this movie.

A casting call from 20th Century Fox appears to confirm both Hugh Jackman and Channing Tatum will be involved in some way.. they listed all the big names, though no word about Halle or Ian, which probably means cameo roles for both.

I saw too, but it didn't have Channing Tatum's name on it? It had Hugh but everyone knew that was a sure thing. McKellen was confirmed by P-Stew, so he's exceptionally likely even if just a cameo. Halle and P-Stew are both still up in the air. The movie's working title is AKKABA.

Their plans appear to have been leaked. Inhumans replace X-Men in the Marvel universe and the mutants have to leave Earth to survive.

... yeah. Disney really dislike Fox having those X-Men rights!

The House of Mouse buy everything. They never work with people, they just buy them so they can control anything they're invested in. The don't care about Marvel's history or what fans of comics want, they care about making even larger profit margins than the annual billions Marvel is already generating for them. Di$ney are doing this as Marvel's parent, not Marvel independently.

Sony's Spider-Man is one character-lead universe. You can only go so far before you have to reboot and do another origins with a new cast, but with X-Men you have an entire team and you can interchange people and times so there's way more room to expand the universe and make tons of movies. They're sacrificing the ~$100M+ X-Men comics generates for them a year to try and dent Fox's freedom with the characters and to try bolster their MCU characters to the front of the X-Men and Spider-Man led comic world.

TBH, it makes sense that they're killing off the X-Men. It's like free promo for Fox... why would they do that?

It kinda brings up the question of how long before Fox is forced to reboot or let go of X-Men.

Either way, the First Class trilogy is damn near flawless. I kinda wanna see what Marvel could do with it.

I'm laughing at the stupidity of the comment (you quoted) lmao. Like, of course Marvel's going to be brought up in this thread? We aren't just talking about the movies (regardless of what the thread title states).

And of course we're going to be pissed that the company's 'killing off' (in a sense) one of, if not our favourite superhero group. Who cares if it's a good business decision? I'm still going to be pressed that they'll be shafted to filth in the comic universe and replaced by the Inhumans.

Storm's only avenue to showcase her badassery is getting dimmer by the day.

Im glad X-Men is at Fox, they're doing a great job with the franchise and if Marvel got it I don't think it would fit with the rest of the MCU.

Fox should just give the Fantastic Four rights back to Marvel so they stop sabotaging X-Men comics.
