The second single off of Back to Black in the UK, and her first ever single here, You Know I'm No Good finally departs. Written by Amy and produced by Mark Ronson, You Know I'm No Good tells in almost graphic detail the plights of a woman in a complicated relationship who has ... problems with being alone. The most heavily indebted to the Memphis/Stax sound, YKING was an instant hit with the hip-hop community, and legendary rapper Ghostface Killah agreed to rap on the remix. Amy performed the song at the 2007/2008 Grammy Awards, and summarily re-released it to radio.
Fun Fact: Arctic Monkeys do a killer live version! Feminine pronouns intact and everything!

Florence and the Machine - Dog Days Are Over
Average Rate: 9.156

Lowest Score: 6 (1x)
UK Chart Peak: #23
US Chart Peak: #21
Yes, the song that was in the lead reclaimed it's position. You can all thank Playboy and Stevie for that.
Dog Days Are Over was the second single off of
Lungs, and was written by Florence and Isabella Summers. It hovered around the 90s on the UK Chart until it began appearing in commercials - first
Slumdog Millionaire. then
Eat Pray Love. Florence also performed it on Later with Jools Holland and Top of the Pops, and watched it peak at number twenty three.
It had been a tougher road for Florence in the US, with no single from the album really clicking on any format - until Dog Days Are Over. Over the summer of 2010, it was heard in what seemed like every seventh commercial. It's profile grew even bigger when it was nominated for Video of the Year at the 2010 VMAs. Florence performed, and the song shot into the US iTunes Top Ten, eventually peaking at number twenty one on the Billboard Hot 100. It is arguably the most well known song Florence has released here.
