ORAS was disappointing just because they didn't give the gym leaders their Emerald teams. Instead we got a 7th gym leader with 2 mons. So challenging zzz. Plus I'm still kinda bitter about Walrein being snubbed of a mega in favor of Glalie's useless mega.

If it is time for the next gen, I'm gonna need more Fairy type moves, more new moves in general, and more mons that can actually be used competitively. If it wasn't for the aesthetic changes/Megas in gen 6, I'd say it was a huge letdown.

What really defines a new gen is the question? GF has ackowledges generations and Masuda even used it once but what really marks the start of a gen?
Is it new Pokemon? A new setting? The switch to a new handheld gen?

The story was horrible in XY. Barely had any until like gym 3 and from there on it they rushed it. Tbh nothing really happened until the last showdown. Team Flare are a joke compared to other teams as well.
Also XY's teams were absolutely laughable. the fact that some many trainers had pokemon with 2 or 3 moves even late game is simpley not ok.
And the pacing was trash too. It takes you hours to get to gym 3 and then suddely you are fighting the E4.
Oh yeah and let's not forget the whole post game stuff (that barely exists)

But yeah only the broken EXP share is legimate criticism

This is scalding hot tea! Gen 6 was nice because of the graphics and mega evolution, but that was about it. The "story" was abysmal.

True, it's still all speculation. We won't know anything official until the direct and even then, we still possibly won't know anything.

I still think Gen VII is too pre-mature right now. I'm on board with these being part of Gen VI. We do know there are two more games that go compatible with X/Y. These could be them.

You could see the Sun and Moon as the essence of life and death for us. Since without either we wouldn't be able to live and their absence means the end.

But Blue makes a point dddd. If it's in a new region has around 60-80 new Pokemon, does it make it a new gen ffff. I guess if they have the same starters ?
