Maybe the reason Gaga was having twitter meltdowns was that she had to sacrifice her era for an upcoming huge one and she reluctantly agreed. She wasn't too happy and would sometimes lash out, but in the end she got praise for working in a new genre, Oscars performance and now she just has to wait for the green light to her pending smash LG5. Also, maybe she didn't know about the human sacrifices until Artpop and she had to bite her lip and go with the plan.
