Can someone explain me what is happening with Tip & Iggy situation? Why on Earth she is low-key defending him, when from what he said it's clear that he had thrown her under the bus the moment that the backlash had happened?

Nah. I think the publications screwed it up and maybe Iggy knows he's low key right that she's screwing up her contacts

TI didn't throw her under the bus. Iggy wouldn't take his advice and she was too sensitive.

You try so much LOL...but he did throw her under the bus but he didn't do it in a bad way. He could have been way more insensitive about it.

He just acknowledged that it's business and the personal part changed after she wouldn't take his advice. Perhaps she doesn't agree with his current advice...it can happen. It's not like his career has been the go to guide on all right decisions. On top of that, she was dealing with a lot of backlash and not all of it was warranted...T.I. wasn't dealing with the type of backlash she was so maybe she didn't take his advice and also didn't handle the criticism well initially...not enough advice in the world is going to make someone deal with that stuff...she had to go through it on her own.


Sounds like if it isn't T.I. way he wants no parts of it...moreso, the urban community gave him so much heat and he really thinks by abandoning her personally and making it public that they will be back with him but he's had his time. Hopefully, iggy gets a good personal team around her.

Yeah that was inevitable but I think this is more about urban community and trying to save face. I wasn't aware of his business dealings with q tip or whatever but it's enough for him to move forward. I feel as if both got all they could get out of the situation

I really hope Iggy tours the UK in support of IA2, I know its gonna be a challenge for her to tour the us first, I think she will easily sell tickets, just need to see how her promo/reception is this time around however I think she could easily do a whole UK tour, all her songs chart fairly well here, beg for it the exception and I am certain she could fill the smaller 4,000 capacity arenas. I am dying to see her

What Iggy needs to realize is that the hate will still be here no matter what. She needs to focus on her music and fans, just like she used to.

And she should've booked smaller venues. It was obvious she wasn't going to fill big arenas just bc Fancy was a hit. She needs to build a big fanbase first. When she came to Houston last year, she almost filled up a ~3,000 seat venue. She should've toured like that again, and maybe, do an arena tour for IA3 if everything turned out fine. But whatever.

Yeah you have the right to shade a bit if you choose even if it is annoying to some...I wasn't aware that you were still a fan though.

I guess I misperceived things but i thought you stanned for Iggy at first and then you were really stanning when Fancy blew up and started to low key diss another artist to the point where you end up taking a vacation a time or two and then when Iggy had her backlash era you slowly started to jump off by the time it was spring time or so I thought you were starting to shade Iggy. By summer, I thought you were completely off the Iggy train but stuck with the Iggy receipts thread as no one was really interested in taking it over.

I can understand because I went from stan to disappointed to fan to no longer with two artists so I almost thought you did the same thing with Iggy that I did with those two artists.
Where you like them and wanted the best but they continued to disappoint where you just had to jump off the ship

To me, her recent tweets show that she's reeling it in a bit.

Could you imagine if T.I. pulled this stunt to promote his EP and make amends with the urban community?

Also, her tweets about her old sound resurfacing seems promising.

Pretty girls tanking was a good thing for both she and Britney. It was a wake up call and I'm glad she scrapped those songs that were in that same vibe.

I was concerned thinking she was going to try to go hard and try to win over the urban community but it seems like she knows that won't ever happen. Look at Macklemore, he apologized for his success and sucked up to them and they still don't use.

With the exception of Eminem, if you are dominating the urban genre as a caucasian it just won't last.
I want Iggy to be a pitfull/flo rida (not in the sense of content but crossover appeal) and make a blend of her old sound but make it crossover friendly even if she said some of her stuff isn't as crossover.

I think with her recurrent airplay surprisingly showing Black widow as her top played song, that she has a niche market that will never fully relate to the urban world but would like hip POP.

I think pulling a Skrillex/Bieber or Lean on with Diplo but with bars would be a nice blend of fresh sounds with relatable lyricism but not too bubblegum.

Eh, if her label is pleased with the material than that's already half the battle
