I think because other (active) user name is Red, and it might get into a confusion and people would think that that member (Red) changed his name to the one you wanted.

Updated. If your name isn't on the list, the reason is most likely on the first page. I'm not straying from the rules (even in slight cases) because it's not fair to the members who followed them correctly.

In the OP it says you can't rearrange letters.

For his to become NOW, it would only involve removing letters. To change yours would involve removing letters and rearranging.

If your name did not make the list, there's a good chance you didn't follow the rules or you're doing something that isn't offered.

1) There are rearranged letters in your name.
2) You've added letters or words to your name.
3) You've created a completely new name (aka Woooosh)
4) You didn't use a size 7 font, and I may have missed it.
5) You're attempting to go back to your old name. (Sorry, it's not possible)
